Romagna Picnic Photoshoot with a Vintage Car

Imagine arriving in the Italian countryside just before sunset and finding a beautiful picnic waiting for you, surrounded by cushions, flowers, delicious food and endless views over the hills. And next to it, a gorgeous vintage orange Citroën 2CV.

We created this romantic proposal idea in Romagna, not far from Rimini, overlooking the hills of Verucchio and San Marino. The landscape has everything I love about the Italian countryside: soft rolling hills, warm evening light and that unmistakable feeling of a summer sunset in Italy.

We started with photographs around the vintage Citroën 2CV, which immediately made the whole experience feel playful, romantic and incredibly Italian. Then, as the light became softer, we moved towards the decorated picnic for the proposal moment.

This concept can easily be recreated for a surprise proposal in Tuscany or elsewhere in Italy. The vintage Citroën could become another classic car, a vintage Fiat or even a Vespa, while the picnic can be completely personalised with flowers, candles, champagne, favourite foods and colours.

It is a beautiful idea for anyone dreaming about a Tuscany picnic proposal, a vintage car proposal in Italy or simply an intimate engagement surrounded by Italian hills at sunset.

For me, the most beautiful proposals are not only about choosing a location. It is about creating an entire little experience around the moment, where the scenery, styling, light and photographs all become part of the same story.

Anastasia was the best photographer!! From our first initial conversation on Instagram to the actual session she was amazing! She helped with location, outfits and all the amazing poses. You can tell she pours her heart into her photography business. She does it because she enjoys it not just for a paycheck. We’ve had photographers in the past when we went to Paris and some in the US and no one compares to her! You would be silly not to book her for your next session.

It’s scary going to a new country not knowing anyone and scared your money and time could be potentially wasted by scammers. She was the opposite! She made us feel so at ease and welcomed.

When it came down to the actual session when we met her it felt like we were talking to our best friend. She treated us like her family. So easy going and fun.

She took us to many different spots to take pictures and gave us a brief history on the location she shot some of the pictures. She was very familiar with the area.

She was very knowledgeable on the location (Venice) and all of the cute photo ops that you see online/movies.

She had a quick turnaround on delivering the pictures to us after our photoshoot. She also made reels for us to post on Instagram. She took videos on the phone just so that we had content to post on Instagram!

If you want an in the moment photographer with excellent people skills and even better photography skills you need to book with her! We came from Texas and there is no one else I would have rather do our pictures. She was affordable and her work was amazing! 10/10 recommend her! You will not regret it!!
